JELET Overview

JELET is an admission test for the Diploma, B.Sc (Science & Technology) or D.Pharma candidates who are aspiring to pursue courses such as B.Tech, B.E., and B.Pharma in West Bengal. The successful candidates get direct admission in 2nd year of the concerned course. JELET 2021 will take place on 29th August 2021.

Eligibility Criteria

The JELET aspirants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before starting the application process of the exam.

Educational Qualification

Pharmacy: The candidates must have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) from an AICTE approved Institution.

Engineering/ Technology: The candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) from an AICTE approved Institution.

Nationality: Only Indian nationals are allowed.

Age Limit: Generally, there is no age barrier for the exam.

But for B.Sc. candidates, the upper limit of age is 27 years and for Diploma in Marine Engineering candidates, the upper Limit of age is 25 years as on 31/12/2021.

Academic Qualification: Candidates with B.Sc and BE degree in Engineering or Technology course should have mathematics as a subject in class XII and also completed B.Sc or BE degree with at least 45% marks from any UGC affiliated university.

Candidates with diploma in Technology, Engineering, or Pharmacy degree,  must have at least 45% marks from any Polytechnic Institute or Pharmacy College/Institute recognized by AICTE, in order to fulfill the eligibility criteria OF JELET.

JELET Eligibility Criteria for Jadavpur University (JU): JU has different criteria for admission. Candidates need to procure 60% (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA from an AICTE approved institution. B.Sc candidates are not eligible to apply for admission in JU.
